…THE BIG APPLE
New York City’s five boroughs are home to some of the world’s most recognizable, cherished landmarks and attractions. From Times Square and Central Park to the Empire State Building and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the island of Manhattan packs more legendary icons into one compact area than any other place on Earth—and that’s to say nothing of the City’s four other boroughs, each of which contains its own roster of must-see destinations. Especially notable this season is the recent opening of Section 2 of The High Line, a public park suspended 30 feet in the air.

PARADISE AWAITS YOU….
The Dominican Republic is an incredible island paradise in the heart of the Caribbean. The country shares a border with Haiti on the second largest island in the area, “Hispaniola.”
Occupying the eastern two-thirds of the island, the Dominican Republic is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean on the north and the Caribbean Sea to the south. As part of the Tropic of Cancer, the Dominican Republic has a breathtaking topography. Mountains, valleys and beaches make up the diverse photogenic land. Three large mountain ranges run through the island, including the nearly two-mile high peak of Antilles. In fact, nearly half of the island is taken up by the large mountain ranges that run through it.
The Dominican Republic also has the lowest point in the Caribbean, Lake Enriquillo. It is one of many lakes, lagoons and rivers that accompany the Dominican Republic’s 1000 miles of beautiful Caribbean beaches.
Because it is located in the Caribbean, weather in the Dominican Republic is excellent year-round. During the summer, the temperature can range from 90 F (32 C) at mid-day to 70 F (23 C) in the morning. Temperatures hover around 65 F (19 C) in the winter.
The Dominican Republic has an excellent reputation for its varied and flavorful food. There are luxurious restaurants with gourmet menus as well as more casual ones with Creole food, a very local style. You will also find Oriental, Mexican, Mediterranean, Italian restaurants, as well as those with light or vegetarian food, pizzerias, and fast food.
If you would like a drink or entertainment after dinner, the bars
and cafes in most cities are open and serve drinks until
2:00 a.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays.

National Finals Rodeo
The NFR runs each December at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The Thomas & Mack Center is located at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Each of the ten days, you’ll see the top fifteen money winners in each of seven different events compete in: bull riding, bareback riding, calf roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, steer wrestling, and barrel racing.
Cowboys from all across the U.S. and Canada work all year in hopes of qualifying for the National Finals Rodeo( NFR), the PRCA’s premier championship, sometimes referred to as the “Superbowl of Rodeos”.
If you’re looking for action, you found it. On the off chance you are interested in seeing more than just the rodeo when staying in Las Vegas, there are some excellent attractions available to you at arms length. Open the door to a storied legend like Caesars Palace or Mandalay Bay and you’ll immediately feel the electricity in the air. There are so many things to do in Las Vegas that 24 hours in a day hardly seems like enough. Wall-to-wall Las Vegas activities mean you get more in your getaway – whether that’s a massage from Octavio, an outfit from Catherine Malandrino, seeing the sights or all of the above. Vegas also has zip lines, car racing, the Bellagio’s world-famous fountains and the Tropicana’s Nikki Beach. Experiencing all of Las Vegas’ attractions is like riding a roller coaster – which you can do because they have those, too.
Bet on Vegas being a great Vacation!
Canadian Finals Rodeo
One of our past trips to take in this year… the 2011 edition of Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) was held in Edmonton Nov.10th -14th.
Over five days, six action-packed performances at Rexall Place thrilled young and old fans alike, as the best rodeo athletes from Canada, the United States and Australia competed against the best stock – and the clock – for prize money and bragging rights.
Often considered the pinnacle of the rodeo season, CFR is one of the biggest tourism draws for Edmonton and the region in the fall. Northlands is bustling with activity as thousands of fans and guests take in both CFR and Farmfair which ran Nov. 5th -14th.
In addition to the action-packed, white knuckled adrenalin in the dirt, rodeo fans were treated to non-stop entertainment at CFR. Fans also caught some of the biggest names in Canadian Country Music. Across the street at the Edmonton EXPO Centre, fans took in some western hospitality and fabulous entertainment at The Buckle, a new live entertainment venue in Hall H.
Dont miss out on the ride of a life time… coming again each year…
